ReplyDeleteI think that compared to prezi, powerpoint seems outdated and boring. i think that prezi allows the presenter to give information in a slightly dizzy but fun and interesting way.
Would you use Prezi again in a different class if you had the option?
yes i would

like:
fun
interesting
easy to learn
new
allows for creativity
dislike:
a little dizzy
i think prezi is decently self-explanatory in the instructions.
I think prezi is much better than powerpoint. It is easier to use and offers a much more effective presentation.
ReplyDeleteYes I would use prezi over powerpoint if given the option.
I had most trouble creating the path and trying to get the specific views I wanted. I ended up have to frame every shot which is not what I wanted to do for every shot.
Prezi allows for a much more interesting presentation than PowerPoint.
ReplyDeleteI would use Prezi instead of PP if I had the option in the future.
I like how easy Prezi is to use and I don't think I needed more personal instruction on how to use it. I only wish I had found out about it sooner.
What are your thoughts on Prezi versus Powerpoint? Prezi was interesting, definitely something different but I liked it, hopefully with more practice and opportunities I will improve my presentations.
ReplyDeleteWould you use Prezi again in a different class if you had the option? Probably, i think it does bring something new to the table for presentations instead of the same power point presentations, i do still love powerpoint but i will look into using prezi again as an option.

Not a lot i did not like about it, very easy to use, caught on pretty quick, frustrating sometimes trying to redo the paths and move some stuff around but other than that i did like using it.
I really liked prezi, the only part that got confusing was trying to make a path for everything.
ReplyDeleteYes i would use prezi again.
nothing really to emphasise more other than slowing down and to make sure to find pictures that arent blurry or to not make them so small because like my graph it got blurry when it was made full screen.
I thought that Prezi was a lot better than Powerpoint. It was more fun and interesting to use that Powerpoint because I feel like Powerpoint is too plain and I have used it for years so it's nice to use something different that's fun to play around on.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely use Prezi again in another class if I had the option. Hopefully, my next professors know about it because I would love to use it again for presentations.
What I liked about Prezi was that it wasn't boring. It was more entertaining to watch while people presented. As well as, working on my own presentation I felt like I could do more things with it instead of doing the same thing on my slides over and over. What I didn't like about Prezi is if someone moved the screen a lot. That could be a little dizzy and also how it was a little complicated to me. However, the more I use it, the more I'll get used to it.
I liked prezi a lot more it was way more interesting and gave me a chance to be more creative.
ReplyDeleteYes I would use it again I think that prezi is way better than powerpoint
I didnt like how I got dizzy sometimes during prezi and I wish that I could have made it look better. on powerpoint there is a million different backgrounds you can select but on prezi you just had colors. I did like how you zoomed in and out on prezi though. I also liked how easy it was to upload a video and pictures. I liked how your picture could be your actual slide. I personally feel like I understood it pretty well and I don't think much more instruction was needed.
I liked prezi overall. It did have a higher learning curve in comparison to powerpoint. Furthermore it is only useful if giving an verbal presentation. For making an online posting of a collection of notes it would not be very useful at all. Which to me is what makes Powerpoint as useful as it is.
ReplyDeleteI will use prezi again. I will be using it on my next presentation in my lab.
It was buggy. Shifting between tabs in a browser with prezi running almost always caused problems. Furthermore zooming in and adding text into text which seemed to me to be a crucial selling point for the software was poorly implemented often times opening up an insert text into the outermost text and other times leading to the block of text being moved. Furthermore many of the useful features are entirely proprietary. Which makes the full software impossible to access without paying exorbitant service costs.
Using Prezi was a great experience. It may be a little more difficult to make the presentation than a powerpoint, but it was a lot more interesting. It is worth the extra work. Truthfully once you learn how to do it it comes a lot easier. I like Prezi a lot better than Powerpoint.
ReplyDeleteYes from now on I will more than likely use Prezi. I prefer to use Prezi over Powerpoint because it is much more engaging than watching a powerpoint. Now powerpoints are boring.
When I first read about the assignment I was a little annoyed...thinking why cant we just use Powerpoint whats the difference? But now I know the difference. There wasn't a whole lot I didn't like about Prezi. If I had to come up with a single thing that I didn't like I would have to say that making the paths got a little frustrating because I kept wanting to change the order of things. We didnt get hardly any of a presentation on prezi so going into it I didn't know what to expect. We pretty much just had to figure it most out by ourselves, but it wasnt that hard. It was pretty self explanatory once you got the hang of it. Thanks for introducing me to Prezi... I liked it a lot.
1. I liked that Prezi was more interactive than Powerpoint. I felt like I was able to not rely on Prezi for what I was supposed to say, but rather I just told a story.
ReplyDelete2. I would like to use Prezi instead of Powerpoint for presentations. I think it would be a different twist so people would pay attention more to what I was saying.

3. Overall, I liked how it was interactive and there was more freedom for you to do things. The only thing that I didn't like about Prezi that it is just difficult to get the hang of since it was my first time using it. I think it would be helpful next time for you to explain how to do the layering in the Prezi to be able to make the presentation flow better.
What are your thoughts on Prezi versus Powerpoint?
ReplyDeletePrezi was much simpler, more attactive and easier to use. I even showed my friends how to use it for their classes.
Would you use Prezi again in a different class if you had the option?
Yes.

It was a nice change from Powerpoint. I didn't like how it didn't have options for music integration or not that I knew of. However, it was quick and simple once I figured out how to navigate. I will definitely use it in my other classes.
I needed more instruction on how to change fonts.
Prezi is definitely different from powerpoint, I've always liked powerpoint but I did enjoy the way prezi moved, it's a nice change from just the standard slide change. I would use Prezi again if I had the chance, I think it adds a lot to a presentation just as long as you don't overdue it on the jumping. The only thing I didn't like about prezi at first was that it was hard to get used to. Trying to figure out how to control the buttons and how to make things flow was a bit complicated. I think you just need to have more time, with prezi as far as practicing. I think it would be more beneficial, to have a class project, that everyone does in class together, just to make sure everyone understands the basic functions. But other than that I thik using Prezi for school projects and presentations is a really good idea.

ReplyDeleteI would absolutely use Prezi again if I could.
The only thing that I did not like about Prezi is that it is only web based, which could be a problem if the internet is down.
